ULEZ Cost Calculator
Estimate how much you'll pay in the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Adjust the daily charge if the rules change or you want to model a future scenario.
The current ULEZ charge is typically £12.50 per day for non-compliant cars, motorcycles and vans. You can change this if the rate changes.
Count only the days you'll actually drive within the ULEZ. The zone operates every day of the year except Christmas Day (25 December).
If you're paying for more than one vehicle (e.g. two cars in the household), enter the total here.
This is a simple estimate using daily charge × days × vehicles.
How the charge works
- The standard ULEZ charge is £12.50 per day for most non-compliant cars, motorcycles and small vans.
- The ULEZ operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except Christmas Day (25 December).
- You only pay on days you drive inside the zone; entering just before midnight and leaving just after may count as two days.
How to pay the ULEZ charge
You can pay online directly with Transport for London (TfL):

If you don't pay the ULEZ charge for a vehicle that is liable, TfL may issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) of £180, reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.
